The perfectionist in me is twitching with frustration. Try as I might, I couldn’t get the above gif to have a white background and some of the colours are off. Sigh, oh well. Done is better than perfect.
The 100 Day Project is done! Yip yip!
One of my girlfriends asked if I was sad or happy to be finishing and I’m…excited!
I’ve got a few projects up my sleeve:
1) Painting a scared self-portrait to match my housemates:
2) Making a cardboard Melbourne tram to wear to Run Melbourne. And I'm going to wear it on a tram to the event. Because, Inception.
What did I learn?
If anything this project has been an awesome exercise in practicing integrity (doing what I say I’m going to do, when I’d say I’d do it) and persisting with something for an extended amount of time.
Having to do a painting each day for 100 days pushed the boundaries of my creative thinking (who thought I could have painted so many pumpkins and icecreams?!) and I'm feeling super proud to get to the finish line.
If you were to take on a project for 100 days - what would you do? Leave a comment and let me know.
Happiest of Hump Days to you,
