Do you have a vision, perhaps a lingering feeling you’re supposed to do something - that just won’t budge?
If you’ve been following this blog for a while you’ll know that I love a cuppa by the window sill. While I’m doing so I especially love to visualise my future. I love creating what it could involve, the people I’d be surrounded by and the things I’d be doing. All the sights, smells and feelings that’d create my day-to-day.
I find it easier when I’m traveling as I feel separated from my life back home. It feels like I have a birds eye view of my life, and have the time and space to create from nothing.
I specifically remember this one time when I was in Antwerp, Belgium. I was sitting in a cafe with a cup of hot chocolate and my travel journal and started inventing what my life would look like when I moved to Berlin. I wrote and wrote and wrote. I described my kitchen and the way the light poured in, my job as a Zumba instructor (mind you – I hadn’t even set any of this up yet!) and my day-to-day life going to food markets and cooking. Then, life went on and I forgot about what I created.
Fast forward to me actually living in Berlin. One afternoon I was flicking through my diary and bam! Everything I had created for my life in Berlin I had, without even realising it. The kitchen, the job, the day-to-day lifestyle.
Currently the vision I have that won’t leave is me painting on an easel, looking out tall windows onto rolling green fields. I have no idea how, when or where this would happen, but it’s something that I know will come alive one day.
The future hasn’t happened yet, so it’s completely up to our own creation. If you could have your life any way – what would you create? Leave a comment below. Feeling shy? Shoot me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org - I’d love to hear it
Yours in day-dreaming and life-creating,
